Three Rivers Heritage Trail

Starting May 8th, the portion of Nine Mile Run Trail between Duck Hollow and Commercial St. will be closed unremittingly until the end of September for the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh’s (URA) Swisshelm Park Solar Project.

Water Trail Care Tuesday - Sharpsburg

May 13th @ 10:00am - 1:00pm
Join us on the Sharpsburg segment of the Three Rivers Water Trail for a Water Trail Care Tuesday opportunity! Volunteers will tend to tree tubes, collect litter around James Sharp Landing Water Trail Launch, clear undesired vegetation, as well as other general trail maintenance needs. This is a river-based event.

Water Trail Care Wednesday - Verona

May 14th @ 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Join us on the Verona segment of the Three Rivers Water Trail for a Water Trail Care Wednesday opportunity! Volunteers will collect litter around the Verona Water Trail Launch and surrounding areas as well as other general trail maintenance needs. This is a river-based event.

Train on the Trail - Watercraft and Boat Safety

Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2025's fourth Train on the Trail session! American Canoe Association certified Instructor, Jamie Cortese, will be leading us on an introductory level overview of kayak and canoe basics, foundational non-motorized safety, and general approaches to launching and paddling our Three Rivers!
